The owner, a single man in his 30s, sought a base of operations here, close to his company. The site has a narrow frontage and is deep, but a thin-walled Rigid-frame RC structure was adopted to provide a pilotis garage for one large car. A strip staircase running through the center of the building gently connects the front and back spaces, and the interior is composed of three-dimensional skipped floors with a vaulted ceiling, creating a space where one can walk vertically within the house. Wooden louvers cover the west façade to control the western sunlight and the line of sight from the outside, while ensuring daylight inside the house. A shower of light falling from the glazed tower section fills the small space and casts deep shadows on the brutal space of the RC exterior.
