A two-family house for a grandmother and four grandchildren, with a built-in garage and the grandmother's residence on the first floor and the grandchildren's residence on the second and third floors, with two balconies on the north and south sides. The house was created with many requirements in an appropriately simple manner.

By slightly shifting the two boxes in plan and section, a series of spaces with different sizes and ceiling heights are created. The volume obtained by circumventing legal height restrictions was utilized to create a rich interior space.

The main living space, the LDK, is a one-room space with a lot of depth. The dining space, which has the highest ceiling, is 2.9 meters high, creating a sense of openness. On the other hand, the living space with a ceiling height of 2.2M is a calm and relaxing place with a sense of seclusion. The third floor, the private room space, has skipped floors and ceilings of various heights, creating a sense of spaciousness and psychological distance that is greater than the floor area.

With simple forms and simple operations, we were able to create a variety of spaces to suit the changing lifestyles of the residents. Because of its simplicity, the house has a margin where the residents can enjoy their lives in various ways and change it over the years. We believe that this blank space will be a source of enjoyment and pleasure for the house, and will lead to sustainable architecture.
