Longchamp "FLASH" Shop
Longchamp "FLASH" Shop
Tokyo / Japan, 2010
Description
The flash of a camera always attracts the attention even of the most indifferent person, so it was the perfect connection with the fashionable and fun message of the collection. “The flash shop” was born.
A stroboscope was installed behind the new glass façade. The shadow of the black façade suddenly revels the zebra graphic and the Longchamp logo. The image already disappeared though the image is still printed in the retina of the viewer. The shop layout is also crucial to the reveal itself in the eyes of the person walking down the street. The front window is placed at 45 degrees, perpendicular to the view of the customers, so as you walk by the display is facing you. As you walk closer the sliding doors open widely at an angle.
The interior elements are reduced to the utmost minimum as products are placed on extra thin aluminum shelves (5mmm) suspended form semi- transparent layers of fabrics…it is like walking through floating products that appear behind white veils.
