Kurakata Juku Architecture Seminar

Osaka design museum de sign de welcomes architectural historian Shunsuke Kurakata as director of a new year-long architecture seminar series, Kurakata Juku. 

The first installment runs from May through September and the second from October through March, with a total of ten lectures. The first half will focus on leading designers from Kyushu.

■ 03｜July 18 (Weds) "Downtown Renovation - Experiences from Ogura" / Lecturer: Shimada Yohei (architect)　

■ 04｜August 22 (Weds) "Developing Citizen Power through Design: Revitalizing Inner-city Saga and Oita / Lecturer: Hiroshi Nishimura (architect) 

■ 05｜September 19 (Weds) "Knowing the City, Communicating the City, Using the City: Worky by MATfukuoka" / Lecturer: Kyoko Matsuoka (architect)

Duration (first section): May - September 2012, once a month 
Time and Date: Third Wednesday of the month, 19:00 - 21:00

Limited to 80 participants per session. （Reservations required)
Fee:  1,000 yen per lecture; 500 yen for students (please show student ID at the registration desk)
